This World Mental Health Day, we’re excited to introduce Mane Strength, our new wellness committee at Rebel Lion Advertising. The official theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health this year is: “It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace.” At Rebel Lion, we’re taking this theme to heart and making a meaningful commitment to support our team’s mental health.
Why ‘Mane Strength’?
At Rebel Lion, we pride ourselves on being a strong, supportive community where every team member feels valued and heard. Mane Strength isn’t just another committee, it’s a collective movement designed to nurture our workplace culture and provide a network of support that’s both inclusive and proactive.
Our ethos is simple: everyone deserves to feel their best at work. Whether you’re fresh out of university or an industry veteran, agency life can be intense and fast-paced. We want to ensure that every member of our team, no matter their background or experience level, knows they have a safe space to share, connect, and access resources that enhance their well-being.
What is ‘Mane Strength’ About?
Mane Strength is all about community, connection, and creativity. We’re here to create an environment where mental health is prioritised, and where our team feels empowered to thrive. Led by Vikky David, Naomi Morgan, and Aaron Corria, our committee offers a range of wellness activities tailored to fit our diverse team’s needs. From breath work sessions and yoga classes to our Fry Up Fridays where the whole tram comes together for breakfast, we’re providing opportunities for everyone to engage in activities that work for them.
But it doesn’t stop there. Mane Strength is about listening. We regularly gather feedback through surveys and open forums, ensuring our activities and initiatives are shaped by the team’s input. It’s a collaborative effort where every voice counts.
Our Vision for the Future
Our ultimate aim is to build a workplace where every member of our team feels supported and inspired. We believe that by promoting open conversations, encouraging participation, and creating inclusive wellness initiatives, we can make Rebel Lion not just a place to work, but a place where people can grow and thrive.
So, this World Mental Health Day, let’s make a collective commitment: it’s time to prioritise mental health in the workplace. Let’s support one another, celebrate our strengths, and build a culture that’s as creative and vibrant as the work we do.
